On a dark typhoon night, a rescuer noticed a stray puppy looking for food off to the side of the road. This was on a busy street, and the volunteer grew concerned for the puppy’s safety for being so close to cars driving by and in extreme weather. The puppy was scared and immediately backed off when the rescuer tried to get close, so the rescuer decided to give him some food to bring his guard down. Luckily, the puppy was so hungry he immediately accepted the food, and the rescuer was able to take him to safety and to the vet for check-up.
Most likely because of his experience as a stray, Toro sometimes guards his food against other dogs, but never against people. Despite what he went through, Toro loves being around people and getting up and personal to get a good belly rub. As he is still a playful puppy, Toro sometimes feels really bored without a playmate and would bark out of boredom. Toro likes to do his business outside, and loves to run at full speed on the grass! He would be an excellent companion whether it’s mountain climbing or sitting indoor to read a book on a rainy day! The one thing Toro loves the most in this world (like all dogs) is food, which would come in handy as Toro goes through more basic training and socialization.
