Naomi was abandoned by her previous owner in June 2019, who just decided they didn’t want her anymore. A volunteer took her in and foster her with the intention to finding a home who really loves her. Naomi is all healthy and up-to-date with her vaccines that she hopes to join her furever family soon!
Naomi is a calm dog by nature; she would quietly stand there looking lovingly at her human, or slowly walk over and lick their hands. Naomi is great with kids and can be pet by them. She’s ok being pet by strangers on leash, but would not approach strangers on her own off leash. She’s good with cats who are friendly with dogs, and can get along well with them. Naomi takes a bit of time getting to know other dogs (longer butt sniffing), and usually observes before deciding how to play with them. She’s a bit intimidated by dogs with stronger personality, and likes chasing and wrestling with playful puppies!
Naomi is house-trained and prefers to do her business outside. She behaves well on leash, but pulls a bit harder initially out of excitement. She has no food aggression toward people, but would give a low warning growl to dogs approaching her bowl while she’s eating. She takes a few days to get used to a new environment, but once she feels comfortable she’s a calm, quiet and sweet little girl!
