Lara and her brother was rescued on a mountain when the rescuer went to perform TNR (Trap-Neuter-Release). Lara and her brother were wee puppies at the time and severely malnutrition. The rescuers knew that she had to take care of the siblings and foster them until that are back to health. Both Lara and her brother are now healthy, completed all their puppy vaccines and passed socialization assessment that they are ready to join their furever families!
Lara is a calm and well-behaved puppy. Although her size is currently smaller than an average Formosan mix puppy of her age, we will expect her to grow to be medium-sized in her adulthood. She is awesome with other dogs of all sizes, ages and temperament. She is great with cats and not interested in them. She is shy of strangers at first and it takes some time for Lara to warm up to strangers, but she will still let strangers to pet or hug her. Once Lara trusts you, she can be very cuddly and show how affectionate she is to you! Lara is calm and gentle around kids, though it will take her some time to warm up as well, but she will let kids to pet/hug her nonetheless. She is food-motivated, but she doesn't guard her food against people nor other animals. Lara is not afraid of noise and she walks well on a leash. Lara is currently house-trained at the foster's place, but in a completely new environment, accidents are still expected. Lara will be a great companion for outdoor activities and a great companion in a quiet home as well!
