Lara was found running around on the street, following people as they passed by her. It seemed that Lara was lost or abandoned that she was anxious to find her owner. After a couple of days, Lara was still at the same spot, checking everyone that walked by, but still, no one came to look for her. The rescuer took Lara to the vet, hoping to check the microchip to see if she can trace the owner. However, no microchip implant was found, but they noticed Lara’s collar was too tight that even dug into her skin, causing her to bleed around the area. After sterilization and vaccinations, the rescuer took Lara to the pet boarding place near the spot where she found her and post Lara’s information online, hoping to find the owner. However, half a year goes by and it was clear that Lara was abandoned in the first place. The rescuer decided to find this sweet girl a permanent loving home.
Lara is a sociable Shepherd and her size is smaller than her peers. She is lively, active and great with people, children, other dogs and cats. She might be curious about the cats at first that she will go near them and sniff them, but she ignores them completely after knowing who they are. Lara walks great on leash and she knows to do her business outside of the house. However, she is in training to hold her bladder longer. If the duration between walks is too long, she might have accidents at home. Lara loves the companionship and loves to stay close to people. She will be a great companion as a new additional in the family! Contact Second Chance In Life Foundation for more details.
