Daniel and his littermates were chained and tied to a dyke in the mountains, and when found all four of them could barely move. One sadly didn’t make it, but Daniel and another two puppies were rushed to the vet and fortunately survived. Despite this ordeal, Daniel still loves being with people and other dogs, although he tends to be shy and takes a bit more time to open up. He also feels unsure when he’s in a new environment and needs more time to feel more comfortable.
Daniel is ok with kids petting him, but he’s scared of cats. He loooooves food, and this is a great way to initiate contact with him and build up that trust. He walks well on a leash, and tends to feel more comfortable with the handler after walks. Daniel enjoys playing with other dogs and is well-socialized. He’s undergoing house-training, and would benefit from further training at his new home. Daniel is a mild-tempered and affectionate boy, and is looking forward to finally having the loving and doting family he deserves!
