Cesar and his sister, Carlie were abandoned at a location with no food or water source. The locals called in animal control to take them to the shelter to undergo trap-neuter-release (TNR), but volunteers at the shelter believe the two cutie pies deserve a loving home and should not spend their life in and out of the shelter. Since being rescued, Cesar and his sister have been under great care and have received a clean bill of health and even some basic command training. They are now ready to go home with their own loving families!
Cesar is a mild-tempered boy and very friendly. He’s great with his humans and kids, and warms up quickly to strangers if they had treats in their hand. Cesar is still learning how to control himself when saying hi to other dogs and playing with them, as sometimes he comes on too strongly or plays too rough and might scare the other dog. He also chases after anything that’s moving away from him (squirrels, toy cars, birds, etc.), and would not be suitable in a home with cats. As such, he might suddenly pull really hard on leash. Cesar has no food aggression toward anyone, and loooooves his treats! He gets startled and scared if someone tried to pick him up by the harness from above. He sometimes likes chewing on harder fabrics, such as the leash or hardness, so remember to remove these items from his sight! Cesar is looking for a loving family to take him in and love and care for him, and teach him everything he needs to know to continue being the happy and well-behaved boy he is!
