A student found Ashley on the streets wandering by herself, so she took her home wanting to take care of her, but being a student, she wasn’t capable to take care of Ashley and at the same time, she got kicked out by her landlord, trying to find a new place to live. Just about she was gonna drop off Ashley to the shelter nearby, a love mom saw them and decided to bring Ashley into her care with the intention to find a loving home for Ashley. Ashley has been giving a clean bill of health by the vet and after 6 months in the foster home, she is now ready to find her loving forever home!

Ashley is a shy, gentle and calm girl. She likes to play with other dogs, but if the other dog becomes too aggressive or lunge at her suddenly, she’ll cry out and lie down immediately to show how submissive she is. If the other dog continues to bully her, she will take it all in. When meeting strangers, she’s a little shy in the beginning and takes time to warm up, but she will still let strangers to pet her if they approach her gently and slowly. With people she knows, she's very affectionate, loves to cuddle with them on the couch and following her hooman around. Ashley is gentle and great with children. She is also gentle with cats, she can stay quietly next to a cat, and if a cat hiss at her, she knows to stay away. Ashley loves food and she is not food aggressive towards people nor other dogs. She knows to sit and wait for her treats, then takes the treat gently out of your hand. When another dog tries to steal her food/treat, she will just let them take it and won’t get angry. Ashley walks well on a leash, but she will get startled by the sound of big trucks passing by and ambulance siren, though she is fine with the sound of thunder. Ashely is great in car-ride and she enjoys watching out the window when being in the car. Ashley knows to potty outdoors and knows to use peepads at home, but in the beginning at a new environment, accidents in the house is still expected. Ashley is still learning to play with toys, currently she only plays with plush toys and haven't figured out other types of toys yet. Ashely is a Formosan mix and mostly fully grown in size.
